Bulgaria Skiing

General: those of you who are outdoor and sports enthusiasts will be turning their thoughts to winter sports and outdoor activities, holidaysoverseas.com is suggesting Bulgaria for Skiing, Snowboarding and all other winter activities. Bulgaria is one of the few countries continuing to invest in major infrastructure, in particular the ski regions as this country is now part of the European Union. Winter Sports in Pamporovo: This area is the sunniest ski resort in Bulgaria and superb for families however small the children, there is plenty of ski schools and instructors for those that require support. We offer a 4 star accommodation with self contained apartments (refer to properties).

Bansko Skiing Information: Bansko is Bulgaria’s “top dog” ski resort, it has the best snow record and the longest ski season to be found in europe. The season typically lasts 5 months, from mid December to mid April. This is aided by 44 snow cannons which cover 80% of the slopes, making excellent skiing conditions. Bansko boasts 70km of marked pistes with exceptional off–piste and x-country skiing. The longest ski run is 16km, you can ski or snowboard from the top of Todorka mountain right down to the town. If you fancy skiing by moonlight, you can ski 7km on the lighted slope from Banderishka down to the town from 18.30 – 21.30. Bansko skiing and snowboarding caters for all levels of ability, with several ski schools even those that have not tried skiing can feel confident, most of the instructors are english speaking professionals you can feel confident even children of all ages. Lessons are available in the resort and are very reasonably priced. With a new snowboard Park, here you will find 90m x 16m half-pipes, an area to create your own jumps and snow towers. If you who want something even more challenging, you will find Para-skiing, heli-skiing and ski-doos available at the resort. For those less adventurous you will find an outdoor ice rink in Bansko.
